My name is Danny Greenyer and I am a Southampton based, Grade A DVSA approved driving instructor.  I began teaching in 2003 and I currently hold an above average consistent pass rate! When I'm not teaching, I have many interests & hobbies.  I enjoy scuba diving and I am currently qualified as a Padi Dive Master.  I also enjoy weight training, riding my motorcycle and I play the guitar, bass and drums in various different bands. Today's roads are becoming busier and busier by the day. Make a mistake on your driving test and you could fail the test – make a mistake any other time and you could lose your life! Learning to drive is a rewarding experience and for some people it is a necessity.  My philosophy as a driving instructor is that learning to drive should be enjoyable. Statistics show that new drivers are more likely to have an accident in the first two years of passing their test than at any other time in their driving life. In the first year of driving, one driver in five new drivers are involved in a road traffic accident. This is mainly down to a lack of driving experience. The Pass Plus scheme is aimed at new drivers to help them become better drivers. Pass Plus is an established training course aimed at new drivers. It was designed by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) with the help of insurers and the driving instruction industry. Pass Plus builds on your skills and knowledge. It will teach you how to anticipate, plan for and deal with all kinds of hazards, to help you become a more confident driver. Pass Plus training consists of six modules about driving in different conditions:

• in town
• in all weathers
• on rural roads
• at night
• on dual carriageways
• on motorways

The Pass Plus course fee is £160 for a booking of 6 hour lessons.  When and how you take these lessons is entirely up to you.  whether you wish to do all 6 hours at once or take 6 seperate lessons, the choice is yours. At the start of your course, I will give you a copy of the 'Pass Plus Pupil's Guide'. This contains detailed information about all aspects of Pass Plus. The Pass Plus course is a practical course and all modules should be practical sessions. However, local conditions and time of year may mean that some modules need to be given as a theory session. A theory session could be given if there is no motorway nearby. Generally at least five and a half out of six hours should be spent in the car. You will not have to take a test at the end of the course but you will be continually assessed during the modules. I will record your progress and complete a training report form that you’ll sign and date when you reach the required standard in each module. To pass the course you'll need to reach a satisfactory standard in all the course modules. You’ll receive a progress record to help you to keep track of your progress throughout the course. On successfully completing your training you'll be sent your Pass Plus certificate to claim your discount on your car insurance policy. You should also consider working towards your Advanced Driving Test. Passing this test would take your driving skills to a higher level, and provide you with further financial benefits. Cancellations

Unless 48 hours prior notice of cancellation is given, pre-booked lessons must be paid for in full

Road Safety

We reserve the right to withdraw our cars for tests without notice should the trainee not be up to test standard.

Responsibility

We cannot be held responsible for postponement of lessons due to illness, mechanical breakdown or personal reasons, nor any driving tests postponed by the Driving Standards Agency.

Payment

Unless paying for block lessons, lessons must be paid for at the start of each lesson. Cheques made payable to your instructor must be accompanied by a valid cheque guarantee card.
